Verztec offices dedicate their time to various community initiatives

The Verztec team in London is working closely with the Medical Foundation to raise funds for the care of victims of torture. For the months of August and September, Verztec UK will donate a portion of the proceeds for each project they undertake to the Medical Foundation.

The UK team also attended a garden party held on the 26th of June in conjunction with the UN International Day for Victims of Torture. The event raised awareness for torture victims and gave support to the survivors.

On the 21st of August, the Verztec Singapore team brought children from the Life Community Services Society (LCSS) on a fun-filled outing at Snow City. LCSS provides various forms of support to children and youths whose parents are incarcerated.

Staff from Verztec played buddies to the children and everyone had a great time in the winter wonderland, playing in the snow chamber and sampling ice-cream in an ice-cream making session.

Over at Thailand, the Verztec team gave out 100 large parasols to street vendors in Silom and the surrounding areas. With the shade and shelter provided, these street vendors can now go about their daily activities without worrying about business interruptions due to the weather.

Verztec announces its latest collaboration with Invensys

Eaton Corporation awards video localization project to Verztec

Eaton Corporation, a Fortune 500 power management company, recently awarded Verztec with the localization of several customer service training videos from English to Spanish, French and German. The video localization process involves full translation of the scripts, multilingual voice-overs and voice-acting in three languages, integration and synchronization of voice-overs in the videos. On-screen texts have also been added to emphasize important points. The well-localized videos help Eaton to better educate staff globally in customer service excellence.

Expansion of Verztec Corporate headquarters

On the 19th of April 2010, the Verztec Technology team in Singapore shifted to a brand new office to accommodate the burgeoning team and as part of an overall expansion plan.

Located on the 14th floor, the new office is situated in the same building as the main office, which is on the 16th floor. With team expansion and beefed up capabilities, Verztec is poised to deliver a wider range of service offerings and a consistently good service experience to all customers.

Verztec exhibits in Global Learning, Marketing and Advertising conferences

The Verztec team in London proudly exhibited at the Technology for Marketing and Advertising (TFM&A). Held on the 23rd-24th February at Earls Court 2 in London, the trade show saw a huge turn-out of sales and marketing professionals from various industries.

The TFM&A was named the best trade exhibition (UK) in 2009 and is the place to be at for professionals to learn about the latest industry practices for integrating technology with marketing and advertising campaigns.

Verztec brings joy to elderly residents in the community

The Verztec team in Singapore visited St. Vincent Home on the 19th of February 2010 to bring joy and well wishes to the residents during the Lunar New Year. The residents were in a festive mood as the team gave out red packets and mandarin oranges as symbols of good luck. A sumptuous buffet lunch, groceries, many interesting conversations and lucky draw gifts also put many smiles on the faces of the residents.

Verztec bowls for charity

On the 4th of February, Verztec took part in the Charity Bowl and Canon SuperSeries corporate bowling tournament held at SuperBowl Safra Mount Faber.

The Charity Bowl was a prelude to the corporate bowling competition. Jointly organized by Canon Singapore and the Singapore Bowling Federation, $138,000 was raised for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and Singapore Bowling’s community project – BOWLinks. The funds raised will benefit needy students and children with special needs.
